RHODONITE is an uncommon mineral found in various shades of red, pink, and orange, with beautiful criss-crossing lines of black manganese oxide.  This combination of pink and black creates a powerful heart-healing energy, providing a grounding pull while still allowing the heart to open.  It can be a helpful tool for panic and emotional shock.  It is also a stone that can help to encourage unselfish, nurturing love (great for parents!).

Chakra: Heart, Root

SODALITE is an uncommon mineral that is not particularly well known.  It occurs in places that quartz does not, similar to lazurite.  They often occur together as part of lapis lazuli.  It is named after its high sodium content, and is primarily a brilliant deep blue color with white veining. Some specimens, called "Sunset Sodalite," have iron-rich feldspar inclusions causing orange veining.

Sodalite can help you communicate more effectively and honestly, resisting the urge to say what people want to hear or what is easy and convenient.  It can also increase the volume of your inner voice, bringing self-insight.  It is sometimes called the logic stone, because of its ability to clear the mind and facilitate logical thought.

UNAKITE is a combination of red jasper, pink feldspar, and green epidote named after the Unaka Mountains of the southern United States, where it was first documented. 

Unakite has a wonderful nurturing energy and can help to balance the emotions.  It can help people recover from grief and disappointment.  This is a perfect stone for children or anyone who feels helpless and overwhelmed.  Unakite is said to help to release painful memories of the past. It can increase patience and resilience.

POLYCHROME JASPER

All colors of jasper are made of opaque microgranular quartz and/or chalcedony. The unique and varied patterns in different types of jasper are caused by the natural fissures in the material being filled in by other minerals and materials.  Polychrome Jasper is from Madagascar, and is said to have been found near the old Ocean Jasper mines (now mined out).  The primary difference between polychrome jasper and ocean jasper is that ocean jasper contains the distinctive circular orb patterning, and polychrome does not.

Polychrome Jasper has a light, excited energy, while still having the usual jasper protective qualities. It brings feelings of happiness, enthusiasm, and hope.  It is calming and reassuring and can help you to easily shift to adapt to new environments.  A great stone for travel and type of journey or new venture.
