Caribbean calcite is a newly discovered mineral from the mountains of Pakistan that is said to be comprised of beautiful ocean blue calcite with bands of light brown and white aragonite (although a geologist I know claims that the blue is also aragonite). Either way, this combination of sea blue and sandy brown looks like a tropical beach and is absolutely beautiful. Many are concerned that due to its sudden popularity, this stone will be mined to extinction quickly.
Because Caribbean calcite is such a recent discovery, its metaphysical properties are still being explored. It has a gentle energy and high vibration, and many say that it can assist with accessing psychic and intuitive abilities, as well as increasing empathy. It helps with breathwork and other practices of staying present and staying in the moment.

This quality of Caribbean calcite is difficult to find, and this comes directly from Pakistan. The blue calcite is translucent, and the towers are well polished. It is normal for this stone to have small crevices between the calcite and the aragonite bands, some with druzy.
