Ametrine is a variety of quartz that has both purple and yellow colors. The name comes from a combination of amethyst and citrine. (Although some geologists argue that the yellow is more accurately classified as a hematoid quartz.) Although it does exist naturally, the majority of the ametrine on the market is produced through heat-treatment.
Ametrine is a stone of balance. It helps to balance the mind and the body, and the masculine and feminine energies. It can increase clarity and creativity, while also encouraging boldness and decisiveness. It helps to overcome self-sabotaging behaviors and habits.

These ametrine tumbles are primarily amethyst, but each contains either a section of pale citrine, or wisps of deeper golden citrine.
